Items Needed to Open Personal Accounts
Personal Account :
- Valid Picture ID (Can be used to verify Name, DOB and address)
- Social Security number
- If the SS # is not verified by Equifax, need copy of SS card.
- Physical address (If uses PO Box for mailing)
- Equifax Report (Verifies OFAC and 4 CIP requirements)
- If physical address not verified by Equifax, need second form of address verification. (Lease, utility bill, pay stub, etc)
- If physical address given doesn’t match address on picture ID, need second form of address verification.
- If minor is 15 years or younger, only needs copy of SS card and have a qualifying adult as Co-owner. (16 years and over, regular CIP applies-also must have qualifying adult co-owner if under 18 years old)
- Non-citizens:
- Passport or Resident country picture ID and VISA
- Resident Alien Card and Work purposes Tax ID card
Trust Account:
- Valid picture ID and SS# for Trustee(s)
- Trust documentation confirming the Trustee(s)
- IRS document verifying the Tax ID# for the Trust
ITEMS NEEDED TO OPEN BUSINESS ACCOUNTS
Sole Proprietorship "DBA"
- Valid Picture ID for all signers
- Any documents verifying business (i.e.: Secretary of State, Business License, Tax Return) “Not required for DBA but helpful”
- Will run Equifax Report for Individual opening account
- Will print Sole Proprietor Resolution at account opening for customer to sign
Business/Corp., LLC, etc
- Valid Picture ID for all signers
- Corporation Resolution/LLC Papers
- IRS document verifying Tax ID#
Personal Accounts
- Valid Picture ID for all signers
- If address on picture ID does not match current address, must provide address verification
- Will run Equifax Report for all owners of account.
* The U.S. Patriot act requires banks to verify the identification of all individuals and businesses opening accounts.
